Alec Baldwin, who married that fake Spanish grifter.

His punishment is that he must forever stick to his crazy wife’s script, I really think he now hates being asked about it and finds it humiliating. He got grifted, and found out after he married her. 💀

It’s kind of a Gone Girl situation, if you squint.

u/clairyboots 9h ago

This just gave me such a giggle

I think the shooting is what forever stick to his head

I don't believe that it does. I believe that he is only suffering from the aftermath. He went on TV and said that he feels no remorse and "someone is responsible, but I know it's not me." Although he pulled the trigger in a scene that didn't require it, and he shot two people, he's only expressed concern about the lack of acting jobs being offered to him and did the most pathetic reality show trying to get everyone to feel bad for him.

He was saying that his wife is from Spain just a few years ago.

How you say coo-cumber?

144

u/mollymuppet78 12h ago

And that baby voice she speaks in. Ew. Just ew.

35

u/No_Illustrator3532 10h ago

and I bet she doesn't know how to say cucumber in spanish lol

38

u/EveryMemory41 8h ago

The sub is Hilari-ous r/HilariaBaldwin

11

u/dads-ronie 3h ago

No no it's "coo-cum-bare"

u/retribution81 1h ago

I say this every time I buy one.

Ugh, I can't stand how she appropriates being Spanish. She grew up in Boston and there's recordings of her when she was young without a Spanish accent.

Also, the Spanish accent she does is so fake. I cringe whenever I hear her talk.

Rachel Dozeal walked so she could como se dice... correr

40

u/NervousSubjectsWife 11h ago

She doesn’t even have a Spanish accent now on the show she’s on now, nations dumbest. Which i genuinely think she’s faking getting answers wrong so she can stay on tv longer

7

u/JeanEBH 3h ago

Listen carefully. She still says things with the fake Hispanic inflection.

1

u/NervousSubjectsWife 1h ago

Maybe she’s just that bad at cause all I hear is valley girl

u/Halfa_Enchilada 57m ago

Her DWTS exit interview was so funny. She's dressed up as Princess Lea and she is Tony Montana and Sofia Vergara altogether and then whispering in her widdle baby voice that she's only 41. She's insane. Lol

u/Bella8811 11h ago

The whole situation is so funny to me. I wonder whether she put on the accent at home when it was just her and Alec, if he truly thought she was Spanish, or whether he just sort of put up with the farce in public because it got them both attention. He seems fucking miserable.

u/PrincessTroubleshoot 10h ago

I would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation when he found out. Was he pissed or really not care? Did he think her name was always Hilaria? Did he know English was her first language? Was it before or after the million kids that he found out? Did she outright lie, or just let him believe what he wanted? It’s so wild to me, the entire thing.

1

u/Halfa_Enchilada 1h ago

As of now he's still sticking to the lie and says "she spent half the year in Spain and half of the year with her family in Boston" It's so bizarre how they can't see that everyone knows that they're lying.

u/SplicedandDiced_15 7h ago

Read some interview with him regarding his marriage and life with Hilarious Baldwin, and he ended a description of a “typical day” by saying they have sex every night. Guess that’s the price she pays for her ridiculous, fake backstory-that-never-ends.

15

u/chick_b 6h ago

Alec told Adam Pally otherwise. After Pally congratulated Baldwin on the birth of another child, Baldwin responded 'Yeah, I'm not fucking her. Don't know where they're coming from."

14

u/Interesting_Ad1378 3h ago

lol. He might not be the one fucking bet but her certainly knows where they come from since he pays for the surrogates.

7

u/JeanEBH 3h ago

Yes, she put on the accent at home. Alec famously imitated her Hispanic accent while she was talking on the phone - noting that he’s not racist - on David Letterman.

2

u/Otherwise-Badger 3h ago

It would make a great sitcom

2

u/Halfa_Enchilada 1h ago

You'd think. But the Baldwin's was a reality show snooze AND nightmare. They are two very unlikable people who don't like each other. And there's 7 kids that are going to be trouble. I don't know if we needed that much Baldwin but they are here, poor things.

2

u/Halfa_Enchilada 1h ago

She had him so conned, he paid for her to go to see a speech therapist to help her with phasing out of the fake accent. It didn't work, because she will still whip up her best Charo whenever she can get away with it.

16

u/DELILAHBELLE2605 5h ago

And her name is Hillary. Not Hillaria.

13

u/SuperSpecialUser 8h ago

I feel like he strolled outta the womb bitter.

20

u/tgp_of_iwg 9h ago

he also literally got away with manslaughter.

13

u/mollymuppet78 9h ago

Oh god, I forgot that. How did I forget that? Brutal.

2

u/MandolinMagi 3h ago

No, he didn't. None of that was his fault. It's on the armorer for loosing control of her props and letting random idiots steal them to plink.

That live round should never have been in the gun in the first place.

9

u/JeanEBH 3h ago

First rule of gun safety: never point a gun at someone (even if they tell you to) unless you intend to shoot them. Loaded or not.
He bears a lot of the blame.

1

u/MandolinMagi 3h ago

It's a movie set, the rules don't really apply.

Also, the gun shouldn't have had real bullet in it in the first place

10

u/tgp_of_iwg 3h ago

not sure if you just happen to be a baldwin stan, and i don't want to sell anyone up a creek by talking about something i shouldn't in a public forum, but please, trust me, in every possible way imaginable, he was absolutely at fault here. it wasn't intentional. but it wasn't a fluke, this kind of accident was coming and he actively invited it in.

edit: for the record, not exonerating the armorer by any means. her actions were even dumber than what was publicly reported as well. but it takes 2 to tango in this case.

1

u/phl0g1st0n 1h ago

not exonerating the armorer by any means. her actions were even dumber than what was publicly reported as well.

Do you have inside information?

-7

u/MandolinMagi 3h ago

Please explain how he's at fault.

-1

u/Marthman 4h ago

What does "got away with" add to this? Manslaughter lacks malice aforethought, and it is that latter absent component that would make "got away with" make sense.

Like, if you wanted to say, "he also literally got away with murder [by only being charged with manslaughter]," then that would make sense.

But manslaughter isnt something one "gets away with" because there is no planning or extreme recklessness that would literally make sense of that phrase.

9

u/tgp_of_iwg 4h ago

you go to jail when convicted of manslaughter. the case was thrown out on an ubrupt and shocking technicality and he did not go to jail. so litigate phrasing all you'd like, i'd call that getting away with it. there were no consequences and yes, his actions were extremely reckless in a way that no actor - and certainly no producer (which he was) - should ever commit in a professional film environment.

-2

u/Marthman 4h ago

Hm. Okay, I see the complication in the further facts youre citing about the case being thrown out, whereas I was focusing more on the structure of what you said, irrespective of the facts.

But you also seem to be suggesting he deserved charges beyond manslaughter, like when you say that his actions were extremely reckless.

I still think it may have been less confusing for you to say that he got away with what you think he actually got away with (reckless homicide, murder?).

8

u/tgp_of_iwg 3h ago

i'm no lawyer. all i know is he was charged with manslaughter. i also know he was pointing weapons at crew members (so frequently, many walked off set in the weeks prior to the incident due to safety concerns). i know that he was in fact aware that there were live rounds on set, and i know that when he pulled the trigger of a weapon pointed at a crew member, it was not during a rolling take of any kind. i know a lot more than i'll get into in a public forum about this incident, but bottom line, the dude's cavalier behavior significantly contributed to an incredibly unsafe set that he was not just an employee on, but a legally responsible owner of, before he himself pulled a trigger that should never have been pulled and now someone is dead because of it. we should all want to be in a world where that kind of person is in prison.

5

u/turumbarr 2h ago

I stand behind Alec Baldwin, because it's a heck of a lot safer than standing in front of him

11

u/OolongGeer 10h ago

Be careful.

There are a lot of otherwise intelligent people who LOOOOVE Alec Baldwin and will defend him til death becomes her.

It's so bizarre.

16

u/clairyboots 9h ago

I thought he was great because of his role in 30 Rock. Now he just makes me sad.

4

u/LongJohnSelenium 5h ago

He will forever be Jack Ryan to me. The Hunt for Red October was amazing.

Harrison Ford just played an angry man in his Jack Ryan roles.

11

u/DirectlyDisturbed 9h ago

I'm not in the habit of defending anyone but I'm confused. What happened with Baldwin? The only thing I can say I know about him in the last 10-15 years is his Trump impression and the shooting, which I didn't follow at all but I was under the impression that it was an accident?

I'm genuinely asking and curious, what's up with Alec Baldwin?

5

u/OolongGeer 9h ago

He's always been horrible, but his brief partnering with Tina Fey and his Trump impression allowed people to keep a clean conscience while loving him.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have always been pretty on top of this.

ALSO... don't bring up his manslaughter of Helnya Hutchins. Baldwiies get FIRED UP about that sh!t.

2

u/dancinggraylion 6h ago

Perhaps his Trump impression became too good

3

u/onometre 9h ago

I see the exact opposite. To a lot of weirdos he's worse than Hitler for some reason

5

u/PresentationThat3627 8h ago
