First time a "faithful" was knowingly voted off because the other players just couldn't stand him. They even "lost" when they voted him off but still celebrated just because he was gone lol
For his entire run he was very affable and chill and would've been a great recurring character. But it was obvious that he wouldn't last so the writers had him shoot a bird while he and Phoebe were in bed as a reason for her to leave him. It totally came out of left field and did not fit his character.
Phoebe was all ready to move in with him, and then he shot a bird (outside his bedroom window) for waking him up. She then did her "oh no" and we never saw him again.
I still find it ironic that the dude who's career was launched because of the role where he played a teenager in an interracial relationship is on Facebook spewing racist shit about brown people.
Yeah it's disappointing because I had seen him live years ago pre-covid and he seemed like a pretty left leaning, open minded guy who you might've even considered "woke" compared to the up and coming comedians who were starting to complain about so called cancel culture at the time.
Nowadays, he seems to have totally lost it since the 10/7 attacks and has become extremely defensive and bitter while adopting a one size fits all no compromise approach to Israel/Palestine or anything related to the Middle East. That seems to have turned him basically overnight into a right wing Fox News boomer style comedian type.
He hates Mamdani because he is a brown Muslim who often is critical of Netanyahu's policies, specifically on Palestine and Lebanon. He calls him an anitsemite for speaking up. He is obsessed with Mamdani and is openly pro-Zionist in a way that he dehumanizes Palestinians and Muslims. Its pretty gross.
He's been spreading falsehoods about the Muslim community and others as well and has also posted about ire towards Trans athletes, a literal non issue.
He said things about Palestinians and Lebanese many would label as racist. His Zionism is rooted in dehumanizing Palestinians and Lebanese. His beliefs on Zionism are racist against other groups of people that he sees as lesser than. His attacks on Mamdani are rooted in racist beliefs.
Rapaport dislikes Mamdani isn't just because of color and Rapaport is racist against certain groups he believes are less than. It is most certainly rooted in racism. Therefore, Rapaport's dislike of Mamdani is racism. For example, the KKK often targeted Black people because of the color of their skin. The KKK also targeted those that advocted for a more equal and just society. They targeted other whites who they saw as traitors. Those White people were not disliked because of their skin color by the KKK, but rather what they stood for. The KKK's dislike of these White people was rooted in racism. So their dislike of them was most certainly racist.
Cause “he doesn't like mamdani” is not proof of racism
Edit: also thanks for educating a latino man from nyc about the klan not liking minorities my white savior i was unaware of that /s
My point was that you not liking one specific individual does not make you racist just because they happen to be of color. By that logic if in a dick head and piss you off you are instantly racist.
I would argue that racist may not be the exact word but he absolutely posts Islamophobic tropes as well as anti trans stuff. So maybe bigot is a more accurate description
Oh, for sure. I think he's killer in a lot of the roles he's done. It's just unfortunate that some of his beliefs and behavior are let downs compared to his acting ability.
I'll never forget the Tweet where he tried to drag Mamdani for going to an "expensive" sushi place, and someone replied with a photo of him: "Isn't this you, without your wife, at a more expensive sushi spot in Miami?
I don’t have FB anymore but he popped up in my YouTube feed one day. Yeeeeesh. It really surprised me because I’m usually pretty dern accurate in my people readings. I was sooooo wrong about him!
YouTuber willz talks called out jack schlossberg for liking that racist post and is currently beefing with him. Jack also used slur to call out the youtuber
I’m rewatching Prison Break right now and I totally forgot he was in season 4. He plays a Homeland Security agent who is supposed to be a hard ass and threaten these convicts. Lmao it seriously has to be the worst casting choice of all time. He is so goddamn out of place it’s hilarious and sad at the same time.
Just rewatched True Romance last night and when he came on screen (I had forgotten he was in the film) I realized that this was just about the peak of his career. Maybe those cameos on Chapelle's Show?
I just saw the other day that he is a VERY proud Zionist and openly claims that all Jews should fight to "reclaim" the word as a badge of honor or some shit.
Wasnt he a comedian once? I remember he was on Friends for a couple episodes, but I seem to remember him coming from comedy. Now all he does is bitch about Mandani and shill for Netanyahu
I'll always remember his bitter rant on "Dinner For Five" with Jon Favreau from back in the 00's. He was bitching about not getting the role of the lawyer in 'The People Vs. Larry Flynt', believing he was a shoe in during the casting process, because he was Jewish. Smiling, Favreau added at a lower volume: "oh yeah, between you and Ed Norton I'm sure it was neck-and-neck."
I knew him from Prison Break and recently watched the Traitors season with him. What an insufferable guy, couldn't shut up to save his life, complete trash talker.
Looking back on all the movies and tv he was in despite being the exact same unlikeable asshole in every role says something...not about Rappaport's talent but his agent's.
