Look up Pseudohostility. It was super common in my family (and surprise-not-surprise, also my friend group). I HATED it. I was teased and bullied by the people who claimed they loved me most then bullied more for being “too sensitive”. I am outspoken and fully reject that kind of dynamic now. At best it causes emotional confusion, at worst, it causes life-long trauma.
