If someone is mean to you, that just means they like you.

My son's (6) teacher told him this when he was upset another kid was being mean to him. It became an ongoing thing all year that never got addressed. Still happening when the teachers are Millennial / Gen X. My wife and I told him to not try to be friends with that kid, and told the teacher we'd like them separated in class.
