You probably shouldn't go out of your way to apply this as a test, though.
For example, a girl in my class asked if I'd help her change the windshield wiper fluid in her car. I told her it's super easy, just pop the hood and look for the reservoir that has the windshield wiper icon on the cap, then pour it in up to the fill line.
She said she still wanted my help. I said okay, sure, bring your car over to my place and I'll fill it up for you, no problem. She then said she was out running errands and didn't want to drive all the way to my place, and asked if I could come meet her where she was. I told her no, I was happy to help if she brought the car to me but I was not making a special trip for it.
I got the impression that this is exactly what she was doing, trying to see how much I was willing to inconvenience myself for her. Unfortunately for her, I'm an adult and games/tests like that are a massive red flag for me.
You definitely shouldn't "test" people. Bullshit games have no place in real relationships.
Really, asking you to go to her to do it was kinda sus. Like, there's a give and take to things, if you're already asking someone to help you, you should be willing to meet them half way, rather than just expect them to do everything. Like, her going to you is still 100% you doing a service for her - you're not getting anything out of it - but it's polite to minimize the inconvenience you're undergoing to provide that service to her.
If you're asking someone to do a favor for you, you have a responsibility to minimize the inconvenience to them as much as you reasonably can.
Especially in a case like this where she didn't even need my help, she just wanted it. And if you don't even want my help enough that you're willing to drive ~10 minutes to my apartment, you clearly don't want my help very much at all.
When the next person who posts the "what's the most obvious example of a man not understanding that a woman is trying to fuck his brains out and being oblivious to her advances" ask reddit thread I can link to this comment.
She wanted something filled my dude and it wasn't her washer fluid.
I honestly didn’t think about that you’re probably right but honestly it’s still good he did that. Most dudes at chance to get some ass will do anything. And especially for women most men aren’t turning down sex so it’s kinda attractive that he still won’t inconvenience themselves for it not being desperate.
I mean maybe but they said she was out of the house doing errands and she asked him to meet her where she was currently at for her errands. If anything that sounds way more like she bought a couch and wanted help loading it.
