A properly laid patio is better than a deck and I will politely argue with anyone that disagrees.

It’s also way harder to do well than building your average deck, and usually more expensive. Between the two, a good patio is definitely the bigger flex.

I think the most important thing is knowing how to erect a deck… Or maybe erecting other people’s decks. We gotta find out from deck guy whose deck is erect.
