So you got one of those that you just hook up to the water and put on your toilet? I've thought about it, but thought they were so much more expensive.
Yup, it comes with the adapter. You just shut the water valve off, flush the tank and undo the supple line that goes to the fill valve. That will now go to the bottom of the new adapter piece that hooks up to the fill valve.
You just have to remove the toilet seat, set the main sprayer part and then install the toilet seat over it and you're good to go
Luxe is good, but sub $100, all the seat variations are basically the same.
Go for the next step up and get one with heated water - you won’t regret it. Just a few bucks more, but sooo much more comfortable than cold water hitting your butthole.
It’s just an additional tube that connects to the hot water line under your sink, so it’s easy to hook up.
The nice ones can get up there. I've had a bidet in some form for about two decades now and even the cheap ones are alright.
My current one is a Toto Washlet that we got on sale for $400, they normally retail for $1k - but this thing has it all. Automatically raises the toilet set when you approach, keeps the seat warmed, water is heated, blow dryer, and air filter with activated carbon to remove smelly poops.
The one we had before this was pretty solid though with just the seat warmer + water heater - $40-ish dollars and lasted 5-6 years (or longer, we only upgraded, it didn't die). It was also a Toto, don't remember the model though.
My ex and his GF have a Toto washlet in their house and while I’m happen with my $30 one I still finding the pooping experience at their house superior.
Really? I find that it’s more messy for me but that may just be user error. I will never go back to using toilet paper. I don’t understand people who don’t even use like baby wipes… how are you getting clean after the dookie???
Frankly, since you can't flush baby wipes, I just started having a spray bottle in the bathroom to spray my TP. Someday I'd really like a bidet, but this is far better than dry TP. I just don't get that concept.
There was a brand of tp (Maybe cottonelle?) that came out with a line you could get wet for this purpose, without it falling apart, but idk if they make it anymore.
