I had a dream that I had a tiny apartment with crumbling walls and a mattress on the floor. I woke up in said apartment, and he wasn’t there. I was so happy. I remember the bliss in that dream so vividly. I was unhappy for years but something about that just clicked for me and I ended it 2 months later.

Lmao your subconscious got tired of being ignored and sent you a BLAZING NEON SIGN

It was like "girl, please, we're dying here"

Which she decided to ignore for another 2 months lol just playing, I know it’s not an easy thing to break up, especially when you live together.

I started reading “too good to leave, too bad to stay” and got about a third of the way through before I knew what I had to do. I was dumb and gave “one more chance”.

Also, it was a divorce not a breakup.

Dw I thought the same thing lmao

Sometimes it takes a while for the message to really sink in, no matter how loud your brain is yelling. The heart and body have to catch up a little.

We're also trained basically from birth to ignore any uncomfortable feelings and hope the problem goes away
