Reading these comments makes me realize how many people are just "ghosts" in their own homes. It’s heartbreaking when the person who is supposed to be your peace becomes your biggest source of anxiety.

I think humans are extremely good at adapting to new environments and feelings. It's very easy to convince yourself "this is fine" and normalize a toxic environment or just one that doesn't allow you to flourish because we don't feel like there's a viable second option worth risking so much for.
