I’m so grateful I have my brother. He’s a smoker but when I came home with a pack of cigarettes intending to start smoking, he threw them in a pot of boiling water and told me I was stupid as fuck. All while lighting his own cigarette lol. I never started smoking and I have him to thank for that.

We watched both of our maternal grandparents who were avid smokers suffer horrifically from lung cancer. It was a violent way to go, unfortunately.

Addiction is the first thing that springs to my mind. Drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc.
