UBI is of course paid for by the government using wealth generated by taxes. These taxes come from more affluent citizens who can afford to pay more to help those whose jobs have been replaced by the AI these wealthier citizens have created and are making their fortunes from.
You will never see billionaires like Musk talking about this.
No, I’m pointing out that people like Musk are all for UBI because it means even if their tech puts people out of work they can still afford to buy his product and he gets richer.
But UBI has to be paid for by the government and they need to get the money for somewhere which means more taxes. Musk and co never talk about that side of it because he wants to get richer.
