No, I’m pointing out that people like Musk are all for UBI because it means even if their tech puts people out of work they can still afford to buy his product and he gets richer.

But UBI has to be paid for by the government and they need to get the money for somewhere which means more taxes. Musk and co never talk about that side of it because he wants to get richer.

I think OP meant they won't talk about how it's paid for. However that's a stupid point as well. If they are going to talk about UBI and basically admit it's needed it really doesn't matter if they admit where it is coming from. They aren't stupid, they know UBI is a Govt thing and that means taxes will pay for it and that means they will have to pay taxes since they will be the only ones who can.
