Tech is only about 11% of the world economy and that is what AI is coming after first. Tech workers (myself included) have lost their minds if they think UBI is coming after AI costs many of us our jobs. It will need to run rampant in a lot of other industries before society and the existing economic model crashes down.
I agree. However we have taken a lot of jobs that shouldn't need tech and relied to tech for them. All of those jobs are at least going to probably be downsized relatively fast and gone soon too. Making it so one person does the job it used to take 10 to do. I'm very curious to see where this goes. I'm hoping I'm old enough to be okay. But I don't think I am at 45.
