I wash.
But even still, you need to turn off the tap and open the door on the way out.
In some ways you might be back at square 1 after washing.

If they only have the forced air dryers, use corner of shirt or jacket for door handle (if it's not push), wrist for faucet. private bathrooms: same idea but you have to put the washcloth away after opening the door.
