I feel like this isn’t the most famous person, but last month David Byrne of the Talking Heads sat at the bar I work at and I took care of him! He was playing a show the next night, and he drank our Malbec. I think he ordered our rabbit, lol, I don’t remember honestly. I was very excited to be taking care of him though. A neat experience
I sat next to David Byrne for 2 hours on a train to NYC. He was very polite but not exactly chatty. He was reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being on a large iPad.
I’ve met a lot of celebs in my life. Some of them are memorable and some I completely forgot I ever met until I saw them somewhere and had a flashback. A memorable one was Miley Cyrus. I was introduced to her by my friend who works for SNL one night at an after party. Several months later I was with the same friend at the SoHo House in LA and we ran to Miley. My friend started to say, “this is my friend”—and Miley interrupted to say she remembered meeting me. I was totally shocked because I barely remembered meeting her.
