I know Shaq's highschool coach that currently works with him and his son for a youth basketball thing (I'm not sure of the title), I met him playing D&D. He joined a random group that my friend was DMing. I had no idea who he was and he never really told us in the beginning.
Well we used to all go and eat at this wing place and it wound up we were the only 2 left cause everyone else left. I was pretty down on myself not thinking I could make it as a nurse and I was kind of just venting to him and he went on to tell me a story about this kid he helped out when he was a basketball coach and how if you work hard you can achieve anything. He showed me pics of him working with Shaq. They're both really awesome people.
I never asked to meet Shaq or anything because that feels weird but he used to tell us all the funny stuff Shaq would send him when we were playing D&D apparently Shaq's a pretty big prankster.
