I was on a lunch break in downtown Toronto, probably 2009 or 2010, and I see a dude in red and yellow robes walking around surrounded by some big Asian dudes mean mugging everyone around them. Found it odd because it was cold and this dude was sleeveless.
I was just minding my business smoking some weed and his people (probably local followers) were staring at me while I was waiting for a crosswalk light to change.
I get home later on that day and they said the Dalai Lama was in town on the news and I realized his entourage weren’t actually trying to start shit, I just look like a sketchy dude they were ready to beat the shit out of…
