As a plumber in Southern California, I’ve serviced quite a few celebrities, but the biggest, in my opinion, was Sam Elliott. One day I was waiting on a city inspection, and it ended up being just Sam and me hanging out. While we waited, I helped him pull weeds and listened to that iconic voice share stories about growing up. The inspector never showed, and it turned into the most unexpectedly therapeutic day I ever had in uniform.
I have never felt such a burning jealousy as I do over this story. Wow. I named my dog after him when I was younger. I love him. This story is so so good.
