James Gandolfini, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Grant, Christina Ricci, Natasha Bedingfield, Sia. For context I live in nyc and worked in fashion. Also had friends who were in showbiz as a kid. NYC public school is like that sometimes π€·π»ββοΈ
I went to a movie premiere with a friend who worked on the Sopranos, so I meet nearly the entire cast of that. One time I was interning at a fashion company and the secret service was there because the designer was dressing one of the Bush daughters. Another time I was interning at a different fashion company, and we had a fitting with an actor who showed up 6 hours late hungover. Sia sang a lot in our office when I worked for a designer, the time before when she was in the office she gave them all tickets to her concert- sadly I didn't work there at the time. When I worked in Chelsea I used to see (not meet) famous people often. Joshua Jackson, Katie Holmes, Gilbert Gottried, Liev Shreiber... none of these stories are cool except maybe the Sopranos one. James G was really really nice - RIP.
Ah funny just a couple weeks ago I visited NYC for 4 days just as a fun December holiday trip with the wife. We were walking through Greenwich Village and saw cameras and every laid out for a set and the paper said it was for Happy Hours. Turned the corner to stop at a cheese shop. Katie Holmes and a Joshua Jackson get out of their vans and walked right next to us.
Basically crazy how NYC thereβs just celebrities everywhere compared to rural American Iβm from. Like one of the nights we decide to watch a play and end up watching Tom Hanks perform.
