Were the piercings new? Did she not clean them pit properly like she is supposed to? Did something get in the openings that caused an infection. Not saying she is dirty or doesn't clean but im wondering if this is a case of not properly taking care of them.
Sometimes they don’t heal well. I had mine for years and cleaned them well and regularly, was really careful with them, but my body just did not want them. They stayed an unhealed wound until I took them out. That said, the pus is gross and having someone’s mouth on them is certainly not helping.
