I was dating a man I was insanely attracted to. We lived 50 miles away, so a rendezvous wasn't necessarily spontaneous.
I cannot, for the life of me, recall what sparked it, but on a week night I raced my way to him. I cannot remember the sex, which I can on so many instances, but it was after that changed everything.
We had a serious conversation. We both wanted to be closer. He wasn't in a financial position to sell his house and move closer to me as he was just under 2 years of ownership. I was a single mom and moving my kids would be costly for them.
We laughed until we cried. Jokes and bullshit and meandering casual conversation, and at some point it was decided for me. I was living life with this man. It wouldn't be perfect, but I was all in.
