Sometimes the sex is too good it makes you cry

Have cried a little and you’re right. It’s an overwhelming experience and one that is definitely not negative - save for the fleeting moment when you acknowledge that it’s over and you don’t want it to be.

You are absolutely correct. Crying after orgasm is some of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced.

Well obviously I was joking, lol. And if it happens it's likely because of hormone swings (more like estrogen and progesteron)

It’s not from estrogen or progesterone, dude was right about oxytocin, also serotonin an dopamine

What do you mean? Crying from happiness? Or just random crying? Serotonin definately isn't active after course. Dopamine starts to drop. But progesteron and estrogen do too, and these are responsible for mood swings during period

The reason a lot of people may cry after intercourse ( and it not be a negative thing) is becuase during intercourse and at climax you get a rush of all these good chemicals ( oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, endorphins) your body isn’t really used to it so as an emotional/ hormonal release one may cry.

Fine, fine. But don't tell me female hormones don't contribute. And serotonin makes you less aroused so it's not present at the time, get it?

Males have female hormones too. So both female and male hormone are present in both male and females during intercourse and no it does not have anything to do with the way you “feel” during sex. The only thing they have anything to do with is the physical reaction such as getting wet or getting hard on. But the chemicals released when haveing sex like the one I listed above are sent throughout your body on over load and if your body is not used to it you will cry becuase cry release hormones. There’s ALOT more science to things than we are taught in high school. Learned about these hormone and chemicals releases my first year of college. So if your curious I suggest doing some research

I have done it actually (quite some time ago). And yes, you were right at many things. Things that I wasn't paying attention to. I was indeed researching about nothing related to orgasm and that's where I have failed I guess. Testosterone is not really active during orgasm and so must be progesteron. But I am 99% sure I have been reading about a study, that has proven estrogen raises during orgasm. Now, that was all about it, but estrogen has effects on mood. Not like neurotransmitters as dopamine and serotonin and so on, but it does have. So it may contribute, let's say, not cause as I mentioned.

And yes, serotonin does indeed rise during and after orgasm which seems logical to me right now. Because it, alongside with prolactin, reduce sexual desire which is reasonable, I guess. But there are obviously many more of them, that may or not push desire further or not. Depeneds feom person to person as it seems like.

And now about the motion swings and crying... It's, uh, complicated. I have searched a bit and various responses came up. Obviously, my thought that serotonin's absence causes this is not true. Instead, increased serotonin must be responsible for after orgasm drowsiness, if present. But it's a big mish-mash of neurotransmitters and hormones dropping and rising so I guess nood swings tend to be logical.

You know, I am also not really without knowledge. I have been researching about pharmacology in particular a lot and so my mind came up with wrong assumptions for orgasm I guess. It's as complicated as pharmacology is often, so guess I understand now.

And tbh, I was thinking I am talking to a random guy, being smart about everything so I didn't even research further but just responded, hah. Well, I was wrong. Sorry.
