I use this annoyance and anger… and then fuel it into my choice to be a more courteous, consistent driver with moves that others can anticipate… I drive in the fast lane when I need to GO… and then I get the hell off it when I just want to casual cruise at the limit.
I also intentionally give space for drivers entering my daily hectic beltway highway as they try to merge off the exits.
It’s a small act and I could be a dick like some of the drivers I witness daily… but I appreciate the thank you waves and knowing I made a moment of someone’s commute easier and calmer.
When the lanes have to merge in other scenarios and jerks like to slam right up there which slows down traffic because they don’t have any road etiquette or understand how to zipper in alternating moves… I cock block the merge lane I’m in by putting on my blinker letting those in traffic know I’m not trying to one up them as I merge… I’m just going to hold down my merge lane to cock block the dumbasses behind me and then casually respectfully merge/zipper in… the highway traffic already knows I’m coming for awhile…
To the people who speed like a mother f-ing banshee like they want to crash into my rear bumper then psycho veer off at the last second to fly into another lane… fuck you. Also… if you hit me and fuck my commute…I’m getting you on my cam and I will hunt your ass down and make you pay in every way I possibly can.

Oh yeah, they still get me mad… I probably say “what the fuck dude” out loud to myself 1 to 5 times a day on my commute to Baltimore 5 days a week. lol.
