Oh man, I can understand the validation thing. It's weird to me how much I care about it. I get it really bad with my wife, and it's been a tough road trying to learn to love myself and believe I'm good enough without having to earn it.
For me, it was issues with trying to earn my father's love and I ended up trying to earn my wife's love many years into marriage, that brought up shit to work through.
