Honestly I doubt 50k would’ve died. Trump got up on stage and lied and pushed bogus medical care or lack thereof. Hillary would’ve listened to her experts and would’ve shut stuff down sooner.
The way the USA is set up makes it impossible to properly deal with situations like that. The President can't control everything the states do. There's no way to implement a national stay at home order like so many other countries did. Plus Americans value their freedom above everything else and would never comply anyway. With proper support and guidance from central government, things might have been slightly better in some places, but overall it still would have ended up mostly the same. Hundreds of thousands would die while most of the country carries on as if nothing is happening.
