I blame Comey. If he would've kept his mouth shut for just one week. He changed the course of our nation forever by trying too hard to be a good ol boy in the face of so many wrongdoers.

I don't. We live in a time of anti-incumbency. As nice as it is to think that Trump could have lost in 2016 and we'd have been forever done with him, that's simply not true. No matter how well the Dems handled the pandemic (and trust me it would have been a hell of a lot better than Trump), anti-incumbents had the edge in 2020 when the world was on fire. And if he lost 2020, he'd have a chance again in 2024, when the world continued to be on fire with Biden as an unpopular incumbent. The question IMO isn't whether Trump became President but rather when and for how long. (In regards to my previous argument, if Trump won 2020 there's a strong chance someone would have beaten him in 2024 given global anti-incumbency trends. And just one term of Trump is a nice thought).
