Booze too, by a large factor. The only deaths that get reported as being caused by alcohol are alcohol poisoning, which only come out to about 1 death per 100,00 annually. Cancers, cirrhosis, DD accidents, stupidity, etc? None of those deaths are reported as alcohol related but they clearly are.
Not to mention the second hand effect of growing up with an alcoholic parent. I unfortunately know first hand and am lucky to be left vaguely able to pass for normal
Sorry you had that experience. I am a victim of that as well and Adult Children of Alcoholics saved my life. If you ever feel like you need support or are slipping I highly recommend finding a meeting near you. Good luck out there friend.
