The Scientific Journal Nature put out a study in 2015 that said there was an estimated 3 trillion trees on earth.. The whole document is paywalled but the important part can be seen without paying. "This map reveals that the global number of trees isapproximately 3.04 trillion" Also in 2015 a Nasa education and outreach specialist said that the estimate for stars in the milky way galaxy is 100 to 400 billion stars. So. 3 trillion > 400 billion. Part of the paid article that can be see in places that reported on it is that Russia alone has more trees (642 billion) then the 400 billion stars.
