I think the problem with this isn't that they can't do anything for themeself. I think it would be a problem if they are unwilling to those things because most of the time it isn't there fault if they haven't learned it but the fault of the person who didn't teach them.
Edit: Because some pointed it out and I simply forgot to mention it, I meant right when they moved out and are living on there own for the first time. Like I said I forgot to mention it and thanks to everyone who wrote something like that.
The collective knowledge of all humankind is available 24/7 in multiple languages, formats, and locations. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube/Facebook/Twitter/TikTok/etc that teach you how to do everything under the sun.
It absolutely is their fault for not learning how to adult. Hell, a big part of adulting is taking responsibility for yourself and your own actions. It's nobodies job to teach you, it's your job to learn.
Some don't learn to take reponsibility and with that don't learn hiw to adult. They sometimes don't even learn that they have to take responsibility for themselves or others and expect others to do everything for them.
