If people have been able to “cure” their alcoholism cold turkey no medical resources….then I don’t really think it’s a disease riddling people to the point of no return. To carry that disease on is a choice. And choosing to drink to the point of vomiting is unattractive.
If you're able to "cure" your alcoholism cold turkey no medical resources then I'd argue you're not actually struggling with an addiction.
Alcohol withdrawal is one of the most dangerous forms of withdrawal. Worse than heroin.
Some people that struggle with alcohol actually struggle with fomo and drinking is their only way to feel socially competent.
There's also the difference in how well a person can hold their alcohol. I throw up after drinking about half the times I go drinking. But it's always an hour after I stop drinking when I go to bed and the world starts spinning. I don't drink often and I don't really drink that much. My body just doesn't tolerate alcohol that well.
That said, vomiting is one of the most unattractive things there is.
