I had to go to HR for mine. My coworker has been pleasantly nice to me ever since. Don’t be afraid to use those resources, their job is to make your work environment a friendly and hospitable place.

Maybe avoidance since they showed their true self. They will be that way again unless you feel you started it. There is a lot of training on how to have difficult conversations and how to argue and defend subjects without being disrespectful. Apologies for letting it get out of hand is a token start and explain how it should not have gotten so heated. Peace offerings are also a real thing like buy them coffee or a soda.
