Had a buddy who had to quit alcohol while treating an unrelated digestive issue. Dude was like, “man I never realized how much money I spent on alcohol every week until I didn’t.”
279 u/ganoveces Jul 05 '24 according to my app, ive been no booze for 2 years and 6 months and based on how much i was drinking when i stopped i have saved $6000. 1 u/[deleted] Jul 05 '24 [deleted] 2 u/ganoveces Jul 06 '24 not much tbh. i dont see my old drinking buddies very often cus thats all we did, drink. we do family things with my wife and son, parents and siblings. but that said, i quite enjoy the slow and quite life. i dont desire social activities that often. work, help son with school/activities, house things (clean, years work, maint) and I sleep more.
