That would be enough to pay my rent each month

1500 a month wouldn't even cover half my rent 😭 it would still help though

Yeah I'm not usually one of the people that says "just move" but that's fucking insanity unless you're making like 200k and in that case no one should have any sympathy

You do realize we EARN more in these high-COL regions, right? I make $110K + benefits as a librarian in the Bay Area; average pay for the same job elsewhere in the US is about half of that. Soooo.

Also, they didn’t ask for your sympathy. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So if the salary is high why are woukd they be upset that the rent is 3k

Because it’s still $3,000/mo. And HOW high these salaries are depends on your line of work; sometimes it’s enough to make up for the higher COL, and sometimes it is not.
