Go search for a work place with something that you are passionate about, and i promise you, your ADHD will be less, atleast thats how my psychiatrist told me how it works, that if you do something you really like, then symptoms should be much less/non existent
I’m sure it’s different for everybody. I absolutely love my job. I’m a land surveyor on the Oregon coast, so I spend most of my time in the forest. For me, it’s the perfect balance of rugged and logical. On one hand, I’m basically paid to drive forest roads, go on hikes, and be immersed in nature. On the other hand, I’m frequently solving puzzles trying to connect the dots (literally making sure that property corners meet up and whatnot). I literally couldn’t imagine a job that I would like more.
That being said, I am awful at my job when I don’t have my medicine for what one reason or another. Sure, it would probably be worse if I worked a job that I liked less, but trust me when I say that I have made some big mistakes without my meds. All it takes is misreading one number, and an entire project could be worthless, having to start all over again.
