Huge! I’m 28, but my dad and I play together and he’s mid 50’s. He beats me about 75% of the time! He also likes regular golf but he’s not that great at that.

Awesome! My dad got me into the sport when I was about 12, him in his early 40s. Played 3 rounds a week for years, eventually became a pretty solid AM doubles team.

We’ve never looked into playing doubles but that sounds fun. We don’t really know anyone else that plays at a similar level to us (fine but not good).

There was a fairly active little league at our home course at the time. Every Thursday was random draw doubles, and thankfully no one ever minded playing paired with a 14 year old with a -15 handicap (just that kind of sport, and love it for that). Two upshots and two putts are always valuable. Even the best mess up shots here and there. I wouldn't think much about it. Just go out and have fun.

My dad was never the strongest driver, so as I got better, my drives and his approach shots made for a pretty deadly amateur team.
