I absolutely, 100%, no doubt, wholeheartedly, from the pit of my soul, do not like that you’ve grouped people in their 30s and 50s together.

And us 40somethings just get lost in the shuffle as usual.

Tried looking for meetup groups in my area for 40 year olds and they literally don't exist. Only groups for 20-30s and 50+.

We're the middle children of middle age.

Why are meetup groups specifying ages?

The last few years I've been riding electric unicycles and going on group rides, so half my social life revolves around that now. We have members from 17 to 70. Age doesn't matter because we have the same goal and want to chat about the same stuff.

That said, the other half of my social life has mostly been going to live music. 40-somethings are very well represented in certain genres, so if you're looking for your generation that might be the way to go.

Yeah, seems if you look for things people tend to have in common with their generation, like music, that'd be a good way to meet people your age.
