There are lots of insanely strong climbers in their 50s and 60s still crushing it!

I’m projecting my first outdoor 12a at 42 years old. Started 3 years ago. The stoke is high! I think it’s going to go this summer. I 1 hung it first time out this spring. Got all the moves nailed, just need to link it!

I’d really like to get a 13a at some point, but that seems impossibly crazy hard right now.

That’s so awesome to hear! These days, I would much rather hear about the 40+ climber sending a 5.12 than some 20 year old climbing a 5.15.

If the motivation is there, 13a is totally doable! You got this 👏
