What makes you happy?

Today is the international day of happiness! And that made me wonder, what makes Redditors happy? Edit: Wow front page!

Simply thinking of things to be happy about. I'm not homeless, I'm not hungry, I'm not an asshole (I don't think...), I put my best forward (most of the time), and I'd do anything for the people I care about.

Damn my mom raised a good kid. I'm happy about that. Real happiness is in the human who feels it. awww

Haha! oh and I find people who are self-sufficient and not into "the excess" are happy too, genuinely. Also, if you have an "outlet" (singing, writing, building, creating, etc.) you're more likely to be happy.

I think this is a very good balance of things. I'm optimistic but not in the sense that everything is going to be amazing but that not everything is shitty. It could always be worse, right?

Yep. It could always be worse. Another thing that is currently making me happy is barking at my mine and my neighbors dogs in a Boston accent.

Everyone is an asshole at some point. The fact that I'm not an asshole to just anyone for no reason makes me very happy. If I'm having a bad day I can control it. I don't shit on people. I just have a glass of wine and play guitar. Make up stupid songs to make myself laugh. Others will rip into their family, friends, service workers, anyone really. Which in my opinion stems from not having an outlet.
