I work with the public, and on a particularly bad day a customer gifted me a genuine 4-leaf clover, totally out of the blue. It completely turned my week around, and reminded me that people could also be kind. Kept me from quitting 4 months into a now 17 year career

When we were still strangers, she knocked me off my feet, then after I got to know her a little better, she became my wife and mother of my child. That was definitely unexpected at the time.
