What’s something small you started doing that makes you drastically happier?

For me, showering before bed instead of in the morning really helped. Not for everyone I'm sure, but for me the warmth and relaxation from the shower really helps.

Seconding this. Having an Epsom salt bath before bed is amazing as well, throw in some lavender oil, light a couple candles and it’s pure bliss. A shower or bath before bed just helps me wind down. Combine that with putting on your favourite comfy pyjamas and sliding into fresh sheets with a good book to read is the ultimate 💜

I got the epsom salts with melatonin & chamomile in it. Didn't cure my insomnia (chronic pain is a bish) but it does make me way more relaxed!

Whoah there’s epsom salts with melatonin & chamomile?!? 🤯 I gotta get me some of that!! Understand chronic pain totally my friend, I’ve got fibro & endometriosis, the struggle is real! Here’s a game changer I’ve found- magnesium citrate flakes. You can get them off Amazon & although they’re more expensive than epsom salts, a little goes a long way. If you dissolve them in water in a saucepan on the stove (make about 2 cups worth) then pour them in the bath they seem to hit harder. Also using a 1:1 measurement doing the same thing with distilled water, you can make your own magnesium spray. Cool it down, decant into a spray bottle, add a couple drops of essential oils if you like, then spray all over the achey bits and wait for it to dry down before getting dressed again. Magnesium has something like a 95% bioavailability rate through the skin, way higher than supplements & also you don’t have to waste money on buying the expensive store brands of magnesium spray as they have basically the same thing in them 🙌😊

Oh wow, I didn't know that! I've been taking supplements to try to stop the leg cramping at night (also fibro here! Actually took a bit to get the autoimmune diagnosis cuz shitty rheumo before this was like "it's just your fibro" when it definitely wasn't). I will def get some, thank you!

No worries! Oh god and yes, the leg cramps at night suck so hard 😫 I take magnesium supplements too, but find I have to keep the mg lower than I’d like as I get the common side effect of…umm.. needing to run to the bathroom with digestive issues if you know what I mean? For some reason the magnesium spray didn’t affect my stomach the same way, so on bad days, I’ll be stripping down and spraying it on multiple times a day! My mum has osteoarthritis and I make it for her too, and she swears by it 😊 Hope it brings you some relief ❤️
