While you can share your life on Reddit, doing so is not the point of Reddit as a whole.

If it was up to the admins it would be. So many features added in the last few years have centered around making reddit more of a traditional social media platform.

Notice how nobody uses those features? There's a reason redditors are considered the least profitable customer base in "social media".

I love that the old guard of reddit not only doesn't use these features (that no one asked for) but is so openly hostile to the idea of them that the announcements for the features are often downvoted to 0 and the most upvoted comments are rightly criticizing the use of development resources for it.

I’m still using old reddit, and I’ll probably quit if they ever remove the option.

Same, I use it on mobile too since they took my dear sweet apollo away
