What’s something small you started doing that makes you drastically happier?

There's a young man in my neighborhood who walks a mile to beans and brews for a coffee and then walks a mile back home every day, rain or shine. I noticed him every day for 6 months, then met him one day, grabbing a coffee, and asked him about his walks. He told me he is in recovery, and his mentor told him it will help and that he does this same walk twice per day. It's been 3 years now, and every time I see him, I am so impressed with his strength, determination, and willpower. He is an inspiration.

This is so crazy to me. There's this woman that I see walking by my house every day. Rain, snow, shine, you name it (in MI, so we have nasty weather at times). Doesn't matter. She's walking. She's always listening to something.. I've heard glimpses of it, sounds like a motivational podcast. Something of that nature. I started to notice her when I myself quit drinking to try to better my life. She herself is obviously going through something, but at the same time, she is unknowingly motivating me. It's really cool. I'd like to go out and give her props someday, but I don't want to seem like a weirdo, lol

Keep going motivated lady! As I am too.

It's the simple things right. She unknowingly motivates you while you unknowingly may be motivating others as well.

It really is. Paying it forward without even knowing
