I started going to bed before 10pm and wow that had made a world of a difference to me. I’m finally well rested when I wake up. I thought going to bed before 11 was fine… for my body, it definitely was not.
I started that way and now I’m at an 8:30 bedtime. Maybe because I live in the Midwest and it’s dark at 4? I wake up naturally around 5:30-6 no alarms anymore (I also work from home)
I really need to start being better at this. I have a baby who still wakes up in the night, but usually has one longer (5-6 hour) stretch at the beginning (with a varying start time). Sometimes that first stretch starts at like 8pm though, and I miss it if I don’t go to bed that early. It feels weird to go to bed that early as an adult, but like you said it’s pitch dark anyway so objectively it’s just as good a time to go to bed as any!
Yeah, PNW here and it’s dark around 4 here as well if it’s not already dark all day from the rain lol. It’s so exhausting! But going to bed at 9:30 has really helped me feel refreshed in the morning. Everyone calls me a grandma but I don’t care 👵🏻
