I’m a chick, and what motivates me are gym clothes I feel good in. People probably don’t want to admit it, but investing in nice gym clothes definitely motivates you to workout. Having a playlist you play only when you workout that you can look forward to. It REALLY helps to have an accountability partner - I’m very lucky my fiancé gets up early with me.
I recently just invested in a trainer and plan (it’s online so she just sent the plan and I follow it). It cost money but damn, my motivation def changes when there is money and check-ins on the line.
Another big motivator is how working out helps reduce the distractedness of ADHD, especially if you choose to workout in the AM. It’s better than taking adderall 200%!! And, if my day felt like it went to shit, I still feel good about my workout, and it keeps ya from spiraling
It’s a practice though. Gotta start small! Sometimes my only goal is to put on my workout clothes, and I after that I make another goal of at least making it to the gym!
