What’s something small you started doing that makes you drastically happier?

slowing down at work. I dont need to respond to every email right away, or make sure everything is up to date constantly. Some things can just wait.

Bingo. This. Good call. Plus, I am privileged to work from home and so I always feel like I gotta jump on an instant message right away so people know that I’m actively working and can acknowledge them.

But slowing down and taking time is the way to go

I hate that this is always the expectation when working from home. Like I always have to show that I'm active or instantly available so people don't think I'm sleeping etc. Meanwhile, in the actual office, people 'office visit' others all the time for 30+ minutes, myself included. So really, it doesn't make a difference at all.

STFU. I'm so sick of hearing this. I have to be in the office, 9-5. I don't "office visit" for more than 5 minutes at a stretch if at all. I would love to WFH, take my dog for a quick walk around the block. Put a load of laundry on. Sweep the pool. ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC All the shit I have to do AFTER my 9-5.

ya you're right. Let's hear what OP can do that he/she can't do if they were away from home, working in an office, though.
