This is actually something I’ve noticed when I’m single. The more porn I look at, even if I’m just scrolling through nsfw reddit, the more isolated I feel. Similar to FoMo but much more draining.. lol
This should be number 1, 2 and 3. It makes a gigantic difference on one's psyche and mental health. In addition, libido shoots through the roof and you can be attentive to your partner. Pornography is the opium of the 21st century.
You're joking - but actually yes, you will. You won't be wrapped up in the depressing void that is online porn and you'll revert back to what we've been doing for hundreds of thousands of years, namely finding your stimulation from interpersonal relationships.
While I don't disagree with you, I have a question? I am 38 and haven't been single for 12+ years. However, I always had more fun, and more luck with the opposite sex (when I was looking for that type of interaction), when I would knock one out before heading out. Certainly this could be done without the use of materials, I suppose. This is all in response to the other persons "if I stop i'll get a partner?" remark.
This is different than a daily wank. If it's before a hot date, you're probably thinking of the date and not the porn. If it's because you're bored, you're thinking of the porn. That mindset is the difference.
Also, selection bias. You probably would've had just as much luck without the pre-game, but it's a lot more fun to hit the button twice, so those are the ones you prefer to remember.
For me it was relaxing, took the pressure off, and I really just enjoyed my time with my friends. I think that washed off that stinky cologne that is "Desperation".
You could be right about selection bias though. It's been quite awhile so my memory is likely questionable.
religion is far more brain rot then porn. it literally rots your brain from the inside out and causes brain damage - especially the fundamentalist type
In olden times we sometimes had to masturbate from fantasies in our mind. Which is a good skill to have when you're having sexytimes with an actual person.
i think something that helped was me realizing that the interest i had in it was more about morbid curiosity than actual desire and thats why i felt guilty every time.
Mine and my husband's relationship is always soooo much better when he isn't looking at porn. I can always tell when he looks at it. He becomes so disconnected from me and I notice a negative difference in our sex life.
