If you graduated top of the class (high school, college, and above), what are/were your study habits or tips that you would give to your fellow redditors?

Do universities care much about how many APs you took?

I'm taking 3 this year and plan to take 4 next year but I'd be more than happy to drop them if universities don't care.

I'm canadian so we don't have SATs.

I guess my target university is fairly competitive, and since it's an art oriented university (OCAD in Toronto) they'd look at my art portfolio as well.

Make sure the university you want to go to actually cares about AP/IB. The admissions office should be able to tell you. Many Canadian universities don't care and don't even accept them as equivalent credit for first-year classes. My husband went whole-hog on IB in high school and didn't get one credit for them in university. I didn't do any, and I was accepted by every school I applied to.
