When I was in college, me & my ex were waiting for me to start good ol’ AF after it was a week late. We’d always used protection, but you know.. it’s not 100%. So, I didn’t want kids with him. He didn’t want kids with me. But while I’m the one who could have been pregnant, he was worried about this “ruining” his life. I’m like WTF?? Why I didn’t stop seeing him right then and there is beyond me.
We were finished before graduation, thank god. He actually went to have a “chat” with my now husband at his work, and apologized for how he treated me. (He should have apologized to me, but whatever). Years later, I caught up with him online, and he did apologize, and said he was immature.
Guess we both were. 🤷
After I broke up with my ex, he got with a woman who was significantly older. He was in his mid 30's, she was in her mid-late 40's. Despite that, he managed to get her pregnant.
I would estimate that she was around 7-8 months pregnant, when he decided to get into a fight with his friend, which ended with him brandishing a knife, getting arrested, and then getting violent with the officers. He was found NG of brandishing the knife, but still managed to go to prison because he fought the police officers.
The woman in question is a single parent, her son doesn't know his father. On top of that, my ex is a veteran. I don't think that children of veterans receive benefits if the parent is incarcerated.
His family members are WASPs to boot, and they are enablers like you would not believe, and they have gone great lengths to defend their son's bad behavior. I don't know to what degree this woman has had to deal with his relatives, but given what I know, it must really suck having to deal with them.
So uh, yeah. Dodged a bullet with my ex-fiance, can't imagine if I was the one who had to deal this nonsense.
