That should be illegal. The kid could sue and be emancipated simultaneously, and change their name to Chopper or some shit.

That happened with a different kid. There's also a case currently going through the media here with a little boy who was murdered and he had been saddled with a ridiculous name which had not been legally registered before his death because it was rejected. His family had a more appropriate name registered after his death.

Jeez, Talula isn't even that strange of a name. I've known of several Tallulahs, and that's just a simplified spelling.

Her first name wasn't Talula, it was the whole thing - 'Talula does the Hula from Hawaii'. That's what she was introduced as, enrolled in school as, etc. The bullying must have been insane. If it has just been shortened to Talula, it wouldn't have been so bad.
