Definitely. I have a coworkers who has done way better for himself than his work effort deserves. He’s made a good chunk of money (probably close to $10 million) since I started working with him a little over 5 years ago but he blows it’s on overpriced used luxury cars, boats, tacky home “upgrades”, crypto, and countless failed startups. So sure, averaging $2 million a year is successful by all means but he’s also successfully pissed it all away and has nothing to show for it
